[This is a supplement to today's Rotor, which accidentally did not include the logo of the South of Philly restaurant, which will be generously providing a CART donation based in part on our participation as customers this Tuesday, May 2.]

Our CART Fundraiser Night is next Tuesday, May 2. Please plan to have lunch and/or dinner at South of Philly to help support our CART donation.

The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

The restaurant owners will donate 10% of the day's profits to CART. We thank Katie McMillan for helping to organize this event!

The restaurant is located in the East Sylva Shopping Center.

The restaurant's Facebook page is here: https://www.facebook.com/SouthOfPhillyNC/

Greetings!

First of all I want to thank everyone who was involved with the Pancake Breakfast -- a very successful event, due to hard work by many Rotarians!

We are tallying the final numbers, so if you have not paid your $50, please bring $50 to the meeting tomorrow. After this week, we will bill anyone who has not paid the $50 (unless you brought in a $100-or-more sponsorship). Thank you!

Our guest speaker tomorrow is Gwen Hughes, who will speak about a wheelchair project in Chiapas with Asheville Sister Cities and the WCU Fine Art Museum.

We will recognize multiple CART pin recipients this week.

Menu this week: meatloaf with sides.

Greeter for this week: Kim Elliott.

The "Be a Rotary Hero District 7670 Conference" is this weekend in Hickory. Registration has closed for the conference. We have 11 Rotarians who will be attending! Our club will be well-represented.

Rotary Island Cleanup is this Saturday, April 29 starting at 8 a.m. If you are able to help, please see Tom Schutte, or join us by arriving at 8 a.m.

Tomorrow is the last opportunity to sign up for the WCU Baseball Game Social. The game will be May 5 at 6 p.m. in Cullowhee. The WCU Catamounts take on the Wofford Terriers. Tickets are only $3.

Remember our CART Fundraiser Night is next Tuesday, May 2. Please plan to have lunch and/or dinner at South of Philly to help support our CART donation. The restaurant owners will donate 10% of the day's profits to CART. We thank Katie McMillian for helping organize this event.

Bike to School Day is Wednesday, May 10 from 7 a.m. until 8 a.m. at the Jackson County Recreation Center in Cullowhee. Cullowhee Valley School students will bike at the recreation center and then to school, as part of the International Bike to School Day. The organizers are in need of volunteers to help with this event. Our club has provided volunteers for the past two years. Let me know if you can help on that morning.

We'll have a Fireside Chat for the benefit of all new members on May 16 at the Best Western River Escape in Dillsboro. We'll be outside in the picnic area, or inside by the fireplace if the weather isn't pleasant. You'll learn more about Rotary, and it's a great refresher for all old-timers who'd like to join us! Thanks very much to Megan Orr for hosting the event. See Ron Rhodes or Phil Haire if you have any questions about the Fireside Chat.

Yours in Rotary Service,

Eddie
